Quality Planting Material of Litchi

The nursery of ICAR-National Research Centre on Litchi (ICAR-NRC on Litchi), Muzaffarpur produces and supplies genetically pure, healthy and true-to-type planting material of litchi. Plants are propagated from elite mother plants maintained at the Centre and are produced under scientific supervision following recommended nursery management practices.

The nursery primarily supplies 10-12-month-old air-layered (gootee) saplings suitable for direct field planting. In addition, freshly rooted layers (gootees) are also available during the propagation season, generally from September onwards, subject to availability.
